If you are texting your bestie, no one is critiquing your subject/verb agreement. But if you post your YouTube video's title or add something to your Instagram page, you want it spelled correctly. Millions of people could see that post – and that spelling or grammar error. One day I saw a shirt on Amazon about librarianship, and I wanted to purchase it so badly, but I could not. There was a misspelled word on it!
Now please understand – I am not judging anyone as a person if they make spelling or grammar errors. We are not robots. You have brilliant ideas and are creative and need to share those gifts! And sometimes when you are trying to get your thoughts out to the world, you are in a rush to submit it or post it or upload it. But also consider that, in the professional realm, spelling and grammar errors can diminish the quality of your work:

Now that my daughter is older and I am a seasoned librarian, I am ready to reach back and use the skills I have honed over the years to help others by proofreading. You have something to say to the world, and I want you to do it – successfully and professionally. I came across Proofread Anywhere during one of my many searches online for work-from-home opportunities for book lovers/introverts/avid readers. I read the description on the blog page and later visited the ProofreadAnywhere website. The claims were realistic and did not promise that I would make $7.5 million in two weeks. I learned the nuts and bolts of working successfully for myself as a proofreader. It took a little over a month to complete the course, and here I am world!
